International Balloon Festival
Another great experience offered by Chiang Mai. You will be able to witness the release of balloons, by day as at sunset (we strongly recommend this moment). Music, lights and festivities will be there!

Tortoise Release Festival
This festival aims to release baby turtles on the beaches of Phuket so that they can reach the sea. It is a government sponsored event, concerned about the protection of this endangered specie.

Thai New Year
A very important event in Thailand as it marks the Buddhist New Year. The tradition is to pour water on the Buddhas but also on your friends, to ward off bad luck, which quickly becomes a giant water battle.

It is one of the most beautiful celebration of the country. It celebrates the birth of Buddha. Throughout the evening, you can observe religious processions throughout the country.

Khao Phansa (Candle Festival)
It is a religious festival celebrating the departure of monks in a monastery during 3 months. You will see huge beeswax candles traditionally carved. A very strong moment for the Thais.

On September 8th and 9th, 2017 – Bangkok

Festival of wax castles
Following the candle festival, temples and chapels in beeswax are built by the inhabitants of the region. Great art.

Loy Krathong (Festival of Lanterns)
Certainly one of the most beautiful festivals of Thailand. Thai people put small candles on water and send lanterns in the sky. Must not be missed !
