Over the years and with the ever-increasing growth of tourism, Thailand has quickly understood the attractiveness of its central position in Southeast Asia. Faced with growing demand, the country has invested in several projects to improve its transportation.

A project stands out in particular, and allows to continue in this position of central hub for tourism in Southeast Asia: Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport is concerned with expansion projects each year, which are being revised upwards with the number of passengers growing steadily over time. Phase 3 of this expansion is the most important of the process.

These expansion plans could therefore lead to the extension of the existing 60,000 m² building as well as the construction of a new runway and a new 216,000 m² 4-floor terminal reserved for Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways whose construction is scheduled for 2019.

Investment – 1,5 Billion €

This project will therefore allow the capital to retain its attractiveness for international travel. Thailand, in the center of Southeast Asia, has understood the benefit of its strategic position, and is constantly expanding its airports and transportation accordingly.
