Into authenticity and interior decors? You will undoubtedly find pieces of character in this true craft village. You will find these antique shops along the east of Route 108. There is ancient Chinese beds, wooden Buddhist sculptures, Burmese caskets and a multitude of Thai trinkets. Among the best known: De Siam and its antique furniture rather expensive, The Mandala and its Japanese souvenirs, Ancient Siripat with its huge wood carvings, Chilli Antiques & Arts, and Thai/Burmese Buddhas, Crossroads Asia. Hang Dong Quarry
Adventure fan? If you feel like attacking for challenges, then a jump off from the cliff top of the old Hang Dong quarries is one of the main things you should do in Chiang Mai. The places is spectacular: the red cliffs and the turquoise lake are attached perfectly to the wonderful colours of the sunset.
Dokmai Garden
Dokmai Garden is a private botanical garden mixing nature and culture of Northern Thailand. It was created by the Thai family Seehamongkol in collaboration with Western scientists to make it an ethnological garden. More than 1000 plant species and lots of fruits, vegetables, butterflies, birds, reptiles and fish in an area of 4 hectares.
Wat Ton Kwen (Wat Intharawat)
This temple is one of the best examples of classical “Lanna” architecture, typical of Northern Thailand. The set consists of a viharn and an open pavilion. Wat Ton Kwen is also one of the last wooden temples in the area in its original state.
Ob Khan National park
This national park covers a mountainous area with limestone land, lush forest and natural springs on a surface of 484 Sqm. its highest peak is the “Yod Khun Thian” which reaches 1,500 meters above sea level. The park is home to many species of wild animals (including bears) and offers a wide variety of natural attractions.
Note: In January, it is possible to see or smell an extremely rare species of wild orchid (Ueang Manee Tri Rong)
Grand Canyon Water Park
With its cobalt blue lakes encircled by steep cliffs of deep red sandstone and its original aquatic activities, Grand Canyon is perfect place for a refreshing moment!
Chiang Mai Night Safari
Open from 11 am to 10 pm, it is at night that this attraction is the most interesting. An open tram ride allows you to see various animals ranging from Hyenas, White Tigers, Lamas and Vultures.
