Amazing places to celebrate Songkran 2019

Recently, the Tourism Authority of Thailand has cordially invited all mass media and private sectors to attend the annual press conference. This event was conducted in order to introduce the Songkran festivals throughout minor cities in Thailand. This year, TAT aims to encourage economically and raise the number of tourists in these cities. Therefore, TAT would present and offer a unique culture through Songkran which is recognized as a fun and entertaining festival. There are highlighted cities where have been being promoted by TAT.

Tak

Songkran festival in Tak is going to present the cross-cultural activities which illustrate the Thai – Myanmar relationship. The activity will be held in the Thai Wattanaram temple. Furthermore, there will be an imitation of tribe village and tribe lifestyle from local tribe groups in Tak. People will be able to learn and join handicraft activities such as making Thai lantern and building sandcastle. Beside from DIY activities, in the event will also have Thai-Myanmar dancing show and shopping stalls for enjoyable buying

Ranong

This province is one of the places in Thailand which is famous for hot springs and mineral springs. To promote the uniqueness of Ranong, TAT and the related sectors will organize the entertaining event in order to present their culture and attraction through the national Thai new year festival or Songkran. At the event, you will enjoy many activities such as holy mineral waterfall tunnel, shopping local product, and watching the traditional dancing show. The event will be held at Thanon Na Tedsaban, during 13 – 15 April 2019, at 15.00 – 22.00

“Group of Sanook”

Group of Sanook is the 3 provinces at the upper part of Northeastern of Thailand comprising a group from Sakonnakorn, Nakhon Phanom, and Mukdahan. The distance between these 3 provinces is less than 100 Kilometre so that it allows tourist to visit all 3 provinces within a day. Travelling to these 3 provinces, you will have experience of attending a traditional festival. For example, flamingo park and eating Kanomjeen competition in Nakhon Panon, Thai folk song concert and making Somtum competition in Mukdahan.
