What you should not miss this year!

FEBRUARY

Flower Festival
Standing on 3 days, this festival will fill your eyes with its splendid parades of flowery tanks. You will also see dances, markets, fairs and local school shows. An eye delight !

MARCH

International Balloon Festival
Another great experience offered by Chiang Mai. You will be able to witness the release of balloons, by day as at sunset (we strongly recommend this moment). Music, lights and festivities will be there!
Event postponed due to the death of His Majesty the King, the dates will be updated later.

 

APRIL

Tortoise Release Festival
This festival aims to release baby turtles on the beaches of Phuket so that they can reach the sea. It is a government sponsored event, concerned about the protection of this endangered specie.

Thai New Year
A very important event in Thailand as it marks the Buddhist New Year. The tradition is to pour water on the Buddhas but also on your friends, to ward off bad luck, which quickly becomes a giant water battle.

MAY

Visakha Puja
It is one of the most beautiful celebration of the country. It celebrates the birth of Buddha. Throughout the evening, you can observe religious processions throughout the country.

JUNE

Festival Phi Ta Khon (Feast of the Ghosts)
Another festival for the eye. Menu: contest of artisan rockets, shows, celebrations, costumes…

JULY

Khao Phansa (Candle Festival)
It is a religious festival celebrating the departure of monks in a monastery during 3 months. You will see huge beeswax candles traditionally carved. A very strong moment for the Thais.

SEPTEMBER

International Dance and Music Festival
You will be able to attend for 2 days prestigious international companies performances, dancing as musical.

Vegetarian Festival
Experience the colourful rhythm of this Chinese tradition. The breathtaking Chinese rituals are surely going to amaze you and you will eat delicious vegetarian food.

OCTOBER

Festival of wax castles
Following the candle festival, temples and chapels in beeswax are built by the inhabitants of the region. Great art.

NOVEMBER

Loy Krathong (Festival of Lanterns)
Certainly one of the most beautiful festivals of Thailand. Thai people put small candles on water and send lanterns in the sky. Must not be missed !

Yi Peng Festival
You can discover the stages of the life of Buddha through Thai culture like art or literature, all surrounded by the soft lights of lanterns, ready to fly in the sky.

New Year at Central Word Square in Bangkok
You will be amazed by the magnificent fireworks offered by Bangkok to celebrate the New Year. A memorable evening in perspective!
