The Archipelago in Koh Phi Phi

Off Phuket in the province of Krabi, lies the archipelago of Koh Phi Phi (pronounced Pi-Pi). There are 2 main islands: Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh, the others are mostly rocks.

Phi Phi Don is the largest of the islands and this is where there are all the infrastructure.

Although uninhabited, its neighbour Phi Phi Leh is the most famous. Maya Bay site, hosting the filming “The Beach” attracts many tourists every day.

Besides the most tourist sites, there are many small unspoilt paradise beaches, accessible by boat. It is possible to hire a long-tail boat, very typical of the region, which will take you to the discovery of the archipelago. You can then stop at a few meters from the beach and enjoy a snorkelling session.

The archipelago of Phi Phi, with its towering limestone cliffs falling steeply into crystal clear water, is considered just as one of the finest in the world.
