The easy life is on the cards

The trend for online poker players to relocate to Thailand has been noted by Poker Player Magazine, which found a 35-year-old player from New Jersey living the dream on a laid-back holiday island.

‘You’ve got plenty of Finns, Danes, Canadians and Brits,’ he told the magazine. ‘Coming here is a no-brainer – especially when you can live on $1,000 a month and party three nights a week. Guys who play higher, and earn more, live like princes.’

He described an idyllic lifestyle of beaches and barbeques – although discretion is also wise as gambling is banned in Thailand.
