Lonely Planet picks Thailand for value
In its top ten of best-value holiday destinations, the Lonely Planet guide has ranked Thailand at No.2.
Many would also argue that Thailand should have taken the top spot from Iceland, which surely offers less value despite its economy having shriveled in the financial crisis.
Lonely Planet’s ‘Best In Travel 2010’ commented that Thailand travel remained ‘perennially good value’ and ‘one of the cheapest long-haul holidays for European holidaymakers… visitors are always spoilt for choice regarding accommodation.’
